Hey y'all.

We hope this finds you well. We are as sad as we are excited to celebrate the new season for our church and for the Abernethy's. We have had the massive privilege to have been led and shepherded by such a faithful and upright man of God. He has led Corinth into a very healthy place where we are capable of undertaking God's great task of building the kingdom of God by making disciples of Jesus.

God is not finished working and moving in the hearts and lives of the community that we are in. Friends, all authority in heaven and on earth has been given to Jesus. We must go and tell  the good news of Jesus. We urge you friends to partner with the Lord in covenant union. Join with us in following the Lord Jesus Christ.

Faith That Perseveres To The End

Happy Lord's Day friends! It has been a few weeks since we uploaded. Our church has been in a challenging transition. This sermon is the final chapter that Dr. Abernethy will preach through as our pastor. We have been extraordinarily blessed to have faithful, gospel oriented, exegetical preaching from our pulpit for the past 20 years.

We praise God for the incredible teaching that Dr. Abernethy has brought to us over the years. Not a Sunday has gone by without the gospel being presented and much more than that God has used Dr. Abernethy to equip us for the work of the ministry.

Happy Lord's Day friends! We hope this finds you well. Today we continue our study through the book of James in James 3:13-18. This morning we will see that there is a wisdom that this world gives and the purpose of that wisdom is to help us successfully live out our sinful and unspiritual personal goals. Our contemporaries are quick to tell us the best way for us to be selfish and arrogant. God however has a better way and a different kind of wisdom. Wisdom that will help us live for God and serve others. Let us all look to the Lord to give us the wisdom that we need to live holy lives.

Responding To The Word

Happy Lord's Day friends! We hope that this finds you well. Today Dr. Abernethy begins a new series through the book of James. We are in verse 19-27. Sometimes the word of God is challenging and even frustrating. The Lord's ways are not our ways and he just doesn't do what we want him to. If we are ever to be changed by the word of God and filled with it's eternal life then we have to approach it with humility and patience. Test the word friends, by building your lives upon faithful obedience to it. If we do we will see God's power in our lives.

Sharing The Hope, Love, Peace, And Joy of Jesus Christ

Happy New Year friends! We hope this finds you well. Dr. Abernethy wraps up both his series on the Holy Spirit and his Christmas series today. Even as we continue to reflect on all that Jesus has done for us by coming into our world God desires that we go and tell of all that we have seen. Indeed, this Jesus that has saved us to the uttermost has also commissioned us to be His witnesses in this life. How can we not share the hope, love, peace, and joy that we have been given.
